Top-Mounted Concrete Barrier Reflectors

Top-mounted concrete barrier reflectors are a critical safety component wherever concrete barrier rail is deployed — on highways, bridges, median separators, and active construction zones. Mounted to the top of Jersey-style concrete barrier rail every 30 feet, these reflectors alert drivers to the barrier edge and travel lane boundary in low-light conditions, nighttime driving, and the kind of severe weather Montana roads are known for. MDT specifications require reflectorization on both sides in narrow paved median applications.

At Alpine Sign, we manufacture our concrete barrier reflectors entirely in-house. Each unit is fabricated from aluminum alloy AA5052-H32 sheet stock, sheared to dimension and formed to shape using a pneumatic press. Retroreflective sheeting is then applied in white or yellow meeting MUTCD requirements. Every reflector leaves our Missoula shop built to the MDT standard detail — no outsourcing, no shortcuts.
